After 40 Years King Tut Takes on Batman Again!

Well, briefly, anyway.

Seems the new Batman animated series, Batman: The Brave and the Bold decided to sneak a dozen of the original Batman TV show villains into an episode.

Here's a great link to a news story and guide to the episode

And here's the clip with the big breakout scene:

The show has gotten my interest with a deliberately retro approach to the character. He looks like his '60s counterpart: yellow oval around the bat logo, big thick build, square jar with chin cleft, and brighter colors overall. The character is more easygoing and friendly too, someone who likes working with others. It's a gutsy move to make with all the Dark Knight angst and melodrama being in full vogue.

I've already read complaints about this approach from purists, but I think WB is right to remember that even though "comic books aren't just for kids anymore," neither should they be just for adults and adolescents.

Here's a great rundown of (nearly) every Bat-villain. They did leave out John Astin's Riddler, but overall, an amazing job.
