The "Let it Roll" Track List...Maybe

The Beatles Examiner says Amazon has posted this track list, but Capitol/EMI says they haven't finished deciding the lineup yet.

And here's a followup story on some of the fan fallout. Seems like every GH fan has been thinking about this subject for awhile.

So here's the Amazon list:

1. Got My Mind Set On You
2. Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)
3. The Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll)
4. My Sweet Lord
5. While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Live - Concert For Bangladesh Soundtrack)
6. All Things Must Pass
7. Any Road
8. This Is Love
9. All Those Years Ago
10. Marwa Blues
11. What Is Life
12. Rising Sun
13. When We Was Fab
14. Something (Live - Concert For Bangladesh Soundtrack)
15. Blow Away
16. Cheer Down
17. Here Comes The Sun (Live - Concert For Bangladesh Soundtrack)
18. I Don't Want To Do It
19. Isn't It A Pity

This isn't a bad lineup, though only half of my dream list made the cut. And I'll give Capitol/EMI credit for not letting George's Capitol/EMI years swamp the list.

Any thoughts?

At Long Last, the Career-Spanning George Harrison Compilation

It's going to be called "Let It Roll: Songs by George Harrison," and it's announced for June 16.

I'm very happy to hear about this, as a true collection of George's career has been long overdue. I doubt if I'll desire the album for any individual track, as I already have pretty much everything he did, and I'll probably grouse about half the choices anyway.

What really makes me happy is that there will be a new way to introduce people to George's music. Most people who like the Beatles know very little of George's stuff aside from the obvious hits like "My Sweet Lord" and "Got my Mind Set On You." This album will likely be the first George album bought by Beatles listeners, who may then be spurred on to check out his other recordings. Or at the very least, they've got a good supplement to their Fab Four collection, right?
